STAINLESS STEEL

They are iron-based alloys, alloyed with chromium and nickel with the addition of other metals. Their main properties are resistance to oxidation, corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties.

They are divided into 4 families:

2xx series: austenitic chrome-manganese steels
3xx series: austenitic chromium-nickel and chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels
4xx series: ferritic - martensitic chrome steels
6xx series: precipitation-hardenable steels

The most common fields of application are in the automotive industry, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, food industry, architecture and furniture, household appliances and household goods.
